Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 27, 2026.

Military Presence in Georgia

Georgia remains one of the nation’s most military-friendly states. More than 62,000 active duty military are stationed across the state’s eight military bases. When you include the National Guard, Reserves, and APF DOD civilians, the total number of service members in Georgia is over 120,000.  Georgia has 616,527 veterans living in the state, making their specialized skills and training available to businesses.  Additionally, they have strong educational attainment.  Almost all of Georgia’s veterans have a high school diploma or higher (95%), and 38.9% have some college or an associate’s degree, which typically correlates to technical skills education. Each month, people are discharged from the military, providing a near constant stream of skilled and experienced workers. Many companies, especially in the defense and aerospace industries, proudly claim veterans as a sizable portion of their workforce.
